Is It A Stroller? Is It A Pushcycle? Is It A Tricycle?
Its all of the above!

Unlike traditional children's vehicles, this versatile model grows with your child by easily converting from a secure, comfortable baby stroller to a parent-assisted three-wheeler to a fully independent tricycle. Tom & Jerry are quitting…
Yes, they are! Oh no, don’t worry: you will still see them on TV. They just quit smoking.

After the British media regulator Ofcom received a complaint from an offended viewer of Boomerang channel, mostly watched by children, Turner Broadcasting in Europe decided to dissect more than 1500 Tom & Jerry cartoons to cut out scenes where smoking appears to be cool or glamour.
It is not clear yet if Turner Broadcasting in USA will also follow that decision, but already some fans are expressing their anger about what they consider as a censure of an old classic cartoon.

This is not the first time that a famous cartoon hero quits smoking. In 1984 the Belgian Maurice de Bévère, alias Morris, conscious that times had changed, replaced the cigarette of his character, “lonesome cowboy” Lucky Luke, by a blade of grass (see "before and after"). Four years later, the cartoonist received an award from the World Health Organization.

So what do you think? Are classic cartoons untouchable?

Do As I Say, Not As I Do By Melanie Griffith & Heather Mills
Talk to your kids about smoking and please, please do not encourage them!

Actress Melanie Griffith, 48, helps her 17-year-old daughter, Dakota, light up outside the trendy Beverly Hills boutique Maxfield's. Yes, the smoking age in the U.S. is still 18. (photo: US Weekly)

Teach your kids that breaking and entering is wrong!

On Monday, Heather Mills McCartney, 38, was locked out of the former home she shared with Sir Paul McCartney in London. Accompanied by her two-year-old daughter, Beatrice, Mills had one of her security guards attempted to scale the garden wall. It had been widely reported that Sir Paul had changed the locks on the three-storey Regency house that has been his home for almost 40 years. Police were called by Sir Paul's staff and four officers arrived in a patrol car. (photo: mirror.co.uk)

Should Britney Spears Have Her Morning Cup o' Joe While Pregnant?
Coffee and Pregnancy: A Bad Mix?

According to Amos Grunebaum, MD of webmd.com, "Caffeine's effect on pregnancy is one of the most researched of all health subjects. Most studies have shown that it's safe to drink coffee during pregnancy as long as you're consuming less than three cups, or the equivalent of 300 milligrams of caffeine, a day."

"As far as its effect on pregnancy, several studies in humans have associated caffeine use of more than 300 mg per day with a decrease in fertility and an increase in the rate of miscarriage or low birth-weight babies. Most doctors therefore recommend that you not drink more than one to two cups of coffee a day when you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant or consider eliminating all caffeine from your diet."

Maybe Britney is only on her first cup or better yet...drinking decaf!

Happy Birthday MTV
Before the Laguna Beach, The Hills and Making The Band it was music videos on MTV, 24 hours a day!

The first video to debut was "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles on August 1, 1981. However, only a few thousand people on a single cable system in northern New Jersey could see it. Sometimes the screen would go black when someone at MTV inserted a tape into a VCR. (cnn.com)

If you are too young to remember this "historical event", you can relive the famous first hour on MTV's website. Your kids will love seeing what MTV was like in the old days...
