Meg Ryan with Daisy in Santa Monica
Meg Ryan adopted little Daisy from China in January. While she originally planned to name her daughter Charlotte, Meg has now changed her mind after deciding the name was not right.

On wednesday, Meg told Oprah Winfrey: "I already had to change her name. I thought she was Charlotte and she's just not...she's a Daisy."

We think Daisy is a great name!

According to thinkbabynames.com, Daisy is of Old English origin and its meaning is "day's eye." Often used as a nickname for Margaret, where in France, the flower is called a "marguerite" (just like her mommy's name Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra - AKA Meg Ryan). The name Daisy ranks 295 out of 4275 for females of all ages in the 1990 U.S. Census.
