Heather Locklear - TJ Inker

Okay, help me understand...because I really want to!

Superstar mom, Heather Locklear, marries rocker Richie Sambora in 1994. Cutie pie, Ava Elizabeth is born 3 years later. As a sign of love and devotion, Heather tattoos Richie's name on her hip. Sadly, there is no more Richie and Heather just Heather and her "permanently inked memories".

Wait...there is an update! According to MSNBC ( a very reputable source I think), Heather has had Richie's name covered with a new tattoo of a rose. It seems that while she was enjoying the hum of the needle piercing her skin, she also had the name Finch added to her ankle tattoo. Why? Some speculate that it is in honor of her new friendship with David Spade (AKA Dennis Finch in Just Shoot Me).

Whatever the reason, I am still confused. Why wouldn't she seek the services of dermatologist and have Richie's name removed with a laser? Howstuffworks.com tell us, "Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. " And why did she add another name? Is she just cementing her plans to return to the tattoo parlor for another cover-up in a few years?

But I think the biggest question is, what would Auntie Krystle Carrington think about Sammy Jo's obsession with ink?
